The Judgment
Decrease — if you are sincere, supreme success; it furthers to be firm and correct.
The Six Moving Lines
- Nine at the beginningGoing quickly when one's own task is done; no blame; but one must consider how much one may decrease others.初九：已事遄往，无咎，酌损之。
- Nine in the second placeIt furthers one to undertake something; to undertake brings misfortune; one increases others without decreasing oneself.九二：利贞，征凶。弗损益之。
- Six in the third placeWhen three people journey together, they decrease one another; when one man journeys alone, he finds a companion.六三：三人行，则损一人；一人行，则得其友。
- Six in the fourth placeIf a man decreases his faults, it is well; he makes others increase; no blame.六四：损其疾，使遄有喜，无咎。
- Six in the fifth placeSomeone does indeed increase him; ten pairs of tortoises cannot oppose it; supreme good fortune.六五：或益之十朋之龟，弗克违，元吉。
- Nine at the topIf one is increased without depriving others, there is no blame; perseverance brings good fortune; it furthers one to undertake something; one obtains servants but no longer has a separate home.上九：弗损益之，无咎，贞吉，利有攸往，得臣无家。
