Small Exceeding — success; perseverance furthers; small things may be done, not great ones.
The Six Moving Lines
- Six at the beginningA bird offers itself in flight; misfortune.初六:飞鸟以凶。
- Six in the second placeShe passes by her ancestor and meets her ancestress; he does not reach his prince and meets the official; no blame.六二:过其祖,遇其妣,不及其君,遇其臣,无咎。
- Nine in the third placeIf one is not extremely careful, somebody may come up from behind and strike him; misfortune.九三:弗过防之,从或戕之,凶。
- Nine in the fourth placeNo blame; he meets him without passing by; going brings danger; one must be on guard; do not act thus; be constantly on guard.九四:无咎,弗过遇之,往厉必戒,勿用永贞。
