卦辞 · Judgment
改邑不改井，无丧无得，往来井井。汔至，亦未繘井，羸其瓶，凶。The Well — the town may change, the well never changes; no loss, no gain.
六爻爻辞 · Moving Lines
- 初六 初六：井泥不食，旧井无禽。The well is muddy; men no longer drink from it; no animals come to an old well.
- 二九 九二：井谷射鲋，瓮敝漏。The well contains fish only; the jug is broken; misfortune.
- 三九 九三：井渫不食，为我心恻。可用汲，王明，并受其福。The well is cleaned, but no one drinks from it; this is my heart's sorrow, for one might draw from it; if the king were clear-minded, good fortune would descend on all.
- 四六 六四：井甃，无咎。The well is being lined; no blame.
- 五九 九五：井冽，寒泉食。The well is clear, the cold spring water; one drinks from it.
- 上六 上六：井收勿幕，有孚元吉。From the well comes the clear, cool water; one draws from it; do not seal the well.
