• 三九 九三：日昃之离，不鼓缶而歌，则大耋之嗟，凶。In the light of the setting sun, men either beat the pot and sing or loudly bewail the approach of old age; misfortune.
• 四九 九四：突如其来如，焚如，死如，弃如。How sudden his coming! It burns, it dies, it is cast away.
• 五六 六五：出涕沱若，戚嗟若，吉。Coming to and going away; dire warning; it furthers one to be persevering and aware.
• 上九 上九：王用出征，有嘉折首，获其匪丑，无咎。The king uses him to march forth and chastise; it furthers one to kill the leaders and take captive the followers; no blame.
