卦辞 · Judgment
亨。匪我求童蒙，童蒙求我。初筮告，再三渎，渎则不告。利贞。Youthful folly — success. It is not I who seek the young fool; the young fool seeks me.
六爻爻辞 · Moving Lines
- 初六 初六：发蒙，利用刑人，用说桎梏，以往吝。Developing the young fool; it furthers one to correct; one should not follow tangled paths.
- 二九 九二：包蒙，吉。纳妇，吉。子克家。Tolerant and kind toward the young fool; to accept a wife brings good fortune; the son can take over the household.
- 三六 六三：勿用取女，见金夫，不有躬，无攸利。Do not marry a maiden who sees a bronze man; she has no protection.
- 四六 六四：困蒙，吝。Entangled folly — humiliation.
- 五六 六五：童蒙，吉。Childlike folly — good fortune.
- 上九 上九：击蒙，不利为寇，利御寇。In punishing folly it does not further one to commit transgressions; the only thing that furthers is preventing transgressions.
