- 二六 六二：系小子，失丈夫。If one cleaves to the little boy, one loses the great man.
- 三六 六三：系丈夫，失小子。随有求得，利居贞。If one cleaves to the great man, one loses the little boy; through following one finds what one seeks.
- 四九 九四：随有获，贞凶。有孚在道，以明，何咎。Following creates achievement; perseverance brings misfortune; if one is sincere, good fortune.
- 五九 九五：孚于嘉，吉。Sincere in the good; good fortune.
- 上六 上六：拘系之，乃从维之，王用亨于西山。Held fast and bound; the king introduces him to the Western Mountain.
